She must have hidden the plans in her pants. Send a detachment down to retrieve them.

As you may or may not have gathered, I'm a big Star Wars fan and I recently stumbled across a website I'd like to share with those of you who are also partial to a bit of jedi/sith action.

It's basically just a page with a vast collection of Star Wars related jokes and lists.
For example, "Lines from Star Wars that can be improved if you substitute the word 'pants' for keywords"

...and so hilarity ensues...

Click right here to see the aforementioned website :D

Enjoy! And you're welcome to 'follow me'.

"TOGAAAA!!!"

Anyone seen National Lampoon's Animal House? I have ;)
Possibly the greatest movie about college ever made.

If you haven't seen it, you simply haven't lived. It made my year. Seriously.

It tells the story of Delta house, the worst house on campus as they stumble their way through college by cheating on tests, starting fights, and having crazy parties. This film makes me want to travel back to to pledge Delta...
Animal House wouldn't be nearly as good, however, if it wasn't for John Belushi (R.I.P.), he is genuinely amazing as a disgusting, drunk, carefree student.
You'll probably recognise Donald Sutherland, Karen Allen (Indiana Jones) and Kevin Bacon from other well known films.

My advice to you is WATCH IT.
It'll make you lol :')

"Details of your incompetence do not interest me."

For this week only, I'm working at a magazine in the editing department, and so I've decided to list my top 5 movies that are about, well, working at a magazine. They're in no particular order by the way. Click the numbers to see the trailers.

Top 5 Magazine Related Movies:

1) The Devil Wears Prada - the first time I watched this, I enjoyed it. But after a second viewing, I wasn't so keen. There are a few laughs along the way but it isn't an amazing film.

2) 13 going on 30 - I really like this film; it's innocent and girly but it also teaches you a valuable life lesson: don't try and grow up too fast!

3) How to Lose Friends and Alienate People - Comedy genius, I love Simon Pegg :) Definintely watch this (but be warned, there's a dodgy scene with a trannie).

4) How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - Ok so I'll admit it, I never watched the end of this film, but what I saw was actually rather hilarious. It's a really clever idea for a movie :D

5) Confessions of a Shopaholic - I quite liked this, it may have been silly at times and ever so slightly stereotypical towards women, but it was a fun film to watch with a group of friends.

Comments are appreciated :) honest.

"LICK ME! All of you!"

It's sex, drugs and rock and roll. It's Dazed and Confused. I recently watched it and LOVED it, it's very funny and extremely entertaining. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread, no joke.

It's about American teenagers in the 70s just after breaking up from school, they drink a lot of beer, they party, get in trouble, and they smoke some pot. But that's not all, it also has amazing music :)

The funniest (and cruelest) bit is watching senior students toture juniors. For the boys, it's beatings. And for the girl's, it's total embarrassment - it involves mustard.

I can't think of one bad thing to say about this film, just that it didn't last long enough. Seriously. Watch it...so long as you're 15 or over...

If you've seen it, let me know what you think please.

"Everybody loves me, and I intend to keep it that way."

If you're looking for a dark and witty comedy, Cruel Intentions is the film for you. The story of a Sebastian (Ryan Phillipe) and Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) - stepbrother and stepsister who take delight in other people's misery. Sebastian can charm any woman into bed with him and Kathryn knows exactly how to get what she wants, and what she wants is to destroy Cecile (Selma Blair). Sebastian however, grows tired of sleeping with multiple young girls - he wants a challenge. This 'challenge' comes in the form of Annette, (Reese Witherspoon) who has sworn to stay a virgin throughout her teenage years.

They're both manipulative and will stop at nothing to get their way; they work together to bring widespread unhappiness. You'll probably find yourself hating them, but at the same time wishing you could do that...

It's a dark comedy with plenty of shocking moments, but it is very enjoyable and would appeal to most people (rated 15).

If you like this film, you'll probably like Heathers and Pretty Persuasion - both of which I would recommend.

Enjoy!

"I'm the Slayer."

My all time favourite TV series (by far) is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The name may sound a bit cheesy, but don't let that put you off. It's the story of Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) a witty and attractive 16 year old girl who just happens to be the Slayer. With the help of the school librarian and her close friends (who provide most of the humour) she battles evil and saves the world. But not only does she have to fight bad guys, but she also has to deal with school and do normal teenage things - such as dating. And she has her eyes on the tall, dark and mysterious Angel (David Boreanaz).

Buffy and her friends are all extremely likeable characters and they have a lot of depth to them. They also never fail to make me laugh: whether it's Xander's lame jokes, Buffy's witty comebacks, Cordelia's cutting remarks or Willows naivety.

Please watch this, you won't regret it. Just overlook the slightly dated special effects and I guarantee you'll enjoy it :)

It appeals to people of all ages, male and female and most episodes are classified as 12 (some are 15). There are 7 series in total so you won't run out of episodes anytime soon.

"Come play with us Danny..."

Ok so here's the final instalment of my The Shining posts, enjoy :)
Oh and just so you know, some contain spoilers...

Top 4 spoofs of The Shining:

1) The trailer that makes the film seem jolly and upbeat, it's about picking smiley scenes, playing cheery music and having a friendly sounding voice over guy (Click here to view).

2) The family guy version of the hallway scene, not great quality though (Click here to view).

3) My personal favourite, the bunny version that sums up the whole film in 30seconds, the bunnies are pretty cute too (Click here to view).

4) The Simpsons parody of the shining is also funny: "No TV and no beer makes Homer go crazy" (Click here to view).

Hope you enjoy them, and let me know what you think :D

"REDRUM!"

I did warn you there would be more posts on The Shining...

Even though it is a horror film, there are loads of funny moments, and so I decided to list them:

1) Wendy's hideous yellow jacket/blazer (seriously, call the fashion police)

2) When Wendy talks to the man on the radio, the acting is so bad, it's like a badly scripted play

3) Danny's face and silent scream when he sees the twin girls

4) Danny's gollum voice and finger waggling as he talks to Tony

5) The way the music builds up throughout a scene and then 'Tuesday' appears on a black screen, I was expecting something a bit more thrilling than a weekday...

6) Danny's multiple jumpers (I like the Mickey Mouse one best) and clashing shirt collars

7) When Jack has a nightmare :)

8) The way Wendy runs while carrying Danny away after discovering the marks on his neck

9) When Jack walks down the gold corridor (just before he meets Lloyd) and he's so angry, it looks like he's doing some crazy dance moves :P

10) The whole "REDRUM" scene, the way Danny says it never fails to make me laugh!

Care to share your favourite funny moments? There are loads...
All comments are appreciated :)

"Is that a rabbit in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

One of my favourite, if not my favourite, movies of all time has to be Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It may be slightly childish and rather immature, but it never fails to amuse me.

"It's 1974 Hollywood and Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins), a down-on-his-luck detective, is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar, Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger, and the sinister, power hungry judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) is on a mission to bring Roger to justice. Roger begs the Toon-hatin Valiant to find the real evildoer and the plot thickens as Eddie uncovers scandal after scandal and realisezes that the very existence of Toontown is at stake!"

It successfully balances silly 'Toons' for your inner child and slight adult humour (see heading). It is my perfect pick-me-up movie as I find myself laughing at how completely ridiculous it is. Also, I don't know about you, but I found myself wishing that there really was a 'Toontown' and that cartoons roamed the streets :)
I also (secretly) found myself wishing that I looked like Jessica Rabbit, you don't have to like girls to notice that she's hot :P it doesn't matter that she's freakishly out of proportion or that, logically, her barbie-like legs could never realistically support her.
Although, besides Roger, my favourite character has to be Baby Herman, there's something so hilarious about a little baby with the libido of a middle-aged man.

However I do remember, as a child, being upset by the 'dip' (the magical liquid that kills Toons) and being disturbed by the end fight of good vs. evil - the evil (Judge Doom) is pretty scary.

I would definitely reccommend this film as it's great family viewing (it's a PG for some mild violence language and sex references), and p-p-p-please let me know what you think of it.
